{"id":64017,"date":"2022-12-29T20:20:02","date_gmt":"2022-12-29T20:20:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nmwa.org\/?page_id=64017"},"modified":"2025-05-27T11:32:37","modified_gmt":"2025-05-27T15:32:37","slug":"security","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/nmwa.org\/work-with-us\/security\/","title":{"rendered":"Security"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n<section id=\"subheading_block_271fd706217ba60587528b330b44b045\" class=\"subheading wrapper \">\n    <div class=\"subheading_text\">\n        NMWA\u2019s Security team protects the museum\u2019s art collection and provides a safe environment for employees and visitors.\n    <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading is-style-alt-heading\">What We Do<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"is-style-alt-list wp-block-list\">\n<li>Monitor the collection and special exhibition galleries.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure the safety of museum visitors, staff, assets, and equipment.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Direct and inform visitors by interacting frequently with them and providing accurate information.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide superior customer service to visitors.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure the enforcement of museum rules with visitors and staff.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make verbal and written reports to the Security department.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Protect the museum from all types of threats such as theft, vandalism, fire, or any other type of danger.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Facilitate emergency evacuation procedures, taking appropriate emergency action when necessary.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide security for dignitaries, celebrities, and other VIPs&nbsp;during special events.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<section id=\"text-image-cta_block_498df576aa863a694e609bb983ae4ad9\" class=\"text-image-cta  large-offset-1 \">\n\n\t<div class=\"grid-x\">\n\t\t<div class=\"cell  large-6 text-side\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"featured-title\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2>Qualifications<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"featured-copy\">\n\t\t\t\t<p><span class=\"TextRun SCXW58963772 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW58963772 BCX0\">The museum gallery guard position is a customer-service position <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW58963772 BCX0\">requiring <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW58963772 BCX0\">reliability and <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW58963772 BCX0\">strong interpersonal skills.
