{"id":1223,"date":"2020-01-14T18:40:51","date_gmt":"2020-01-14T18:40:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/live-nmwa-2020.pantheonsite.io\/?page_id=1223"},"modified":"2025-11-20T16:47:12","modified_gmt":"2025-11-20T21:47:12","slug":"art-submissions","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/nmwa.org\/art-submissions\/","title":{"rendered":"Art Submissions"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n<section id=\"subheading_block_b256a2b722c339109853997a76dd43e1\" class=\"subheading wrapper \">\n    <div class=\"subheading_text\">\n        The museum\u2019s Curatorial Review Committee carefully considers all proposed art donations, acquisitions, and exhibitions.\n    <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading is-style-alt-heading\">Art Submission Guidelines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-alt-list\">\n<li>Incomplete submissions will not be considered.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Although the Curatorial Review Committee is happy to review all proposals, please understand that opportunities for inclusion in the exhibition program and collection are very limited.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>NMWA&nbsp;staff cannot make studio visits, view works in person, or make visits to private collections during the initial review phase. If the Curatorial Review Committee is interested in your work, we will contact you about any further steps.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>NMWA as an institution cannot perform appraisals or authentications of any work of art.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you have trouble submitting the form,&nbsp;please email your questions or concerns to&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:artsubmissions@nmwa.org\">artsubmissions@nmwa.org<\/a>. Please note that we are not able to accept full submissions by email, but a member of the curatorial committee will respond to assist when possible. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you are unable to submit your materials digitally, you may send materials by mail addressed to: Curatorial Review Committee, National Museum of Women in the Arts, 1250 New York Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20005. Materials sent by mail require additional time for processing.
